Question #1: Help convincing parents to get a dog!?!?!?
We've had a black lab for about 6 months, we got her at 6 weeks.. I have been begging for a dog and finally got her, and she has done wonders for the attitude of myself and my family.. I'll be going to college in 3 or 4 years, and they've gotten so attached to our dog (Daisy), that they said I can't take her to college with me. I won't be staying in a dorm, most likely, so a dog will be able to come with me.Daisy STAYS outside, my dad is against indoor animals. My mom had a small poodle as a kid, and it was great she said. So my mom isn't so against it. I want to get a French Bulldog puppy. I need a way to ask my parents to let me get it now, so it will be used to me, will be housetrained, and be out of the puppy stage, so I won't have to worry about it while I'm gone, since no one will be there to care for it. My mom can help train it until i go t to college. Anyway, just give me ways to ask them, and reasons they should compromise. Please just tips on asking them and reasons I should give them to let me get one, please no answers about waiting until I get my own house or whatever.. Thanks!
Question #2: I Want To Foster Animals=) TIPS NEEDED!?
Well, I want to foster animals. I'm 13, but I pet sat animals over the summer and now I just want to help the animals in the shelter. It won't be dogs or cats though, it would be small animals like rodents, rabbits, ferrets, small birds, small lizards and turtles. (I either own or have owned all of these animals and I know how to care for them properly. Well, my questions are:
~ HOW do you foster animals. Do you go to your shelter and just pick a animal you want to foster and then fill out an application?
~ HOW do I tell my mom I want to foster? I haven't told her yet, but I've had this idea for about a few weeks. She let me pet sit, so I don't really see much of a difference between the two.
~ Just does ANYONE have any tips? Thanks everyone!=D~
Thanks OopsvampiregirlOops! You really helped! I can care for them myself (I own 2 bunnies and a cockatiel and a green cheeked conure that I care for completley. I've always loved caring for animals and just giving them love! My first pet was an hamster when I was 3 and I tried cleaning it's cage=/ But, of course my mom did that, well, because I was 3. But, thanks!=D~ I'm so excited now!=P

Question #3: How can I start my own pet business? (for small animals only)?
Okay, I am twelve but before you critisize kids for being unresponsible, I am very responsible.
I respect others, very friendly, and I love animals.
I need the money because I am saving up for my own guinea pig (with everything included). Right now I only have 18 dollars, sadly, but I guess I am getting there.
If you have any tips for me to have my own business, please answer!
The small animals are going to be like hamsters, guinea pigs, and maybe rabbits, etc.
I am experienced with most small animals (like hamsters, gerbils, a rabbit, and birds). I have a bird, fish, and three dogs right now.
That is one reason why I won't pet sit dogs or cats (my dogs won't like the other animals like that in the house).
I will only keep the animals in my room, having my door shut when the animals are out to play. I will pet-proof my room.
Any suggestions?
If you are going to comment like "I won't trust any kid with my animal." Or "Wait until you are older." then don't even waste my time, please.
I do get allowence ($10 dollars a month) but I can't get my guinea pig fast enough.
Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE animals. So I will take good care of them and I know a lot about them because I research animals when I have nothing to do.

Question #4: I need to protect three cute little puppies?
hi there guys and gals....
i am a big animal lover and i want to redeem myself for a big mistake i made in the past which resulted in the death of a cute and innocent pup...........so the story is that i give food and water daily to many street dogs in my colony about 8-9 of them.....a few days ago i realised that one of the female dogs has given birth to three cute pups.......for the last 3 days i'm taking care of these pups.....feeding them playing with them and i tell u it is the best feeling in the world.....whenever the pups lick me or start playing with my hair it feels so great......i'm also taking care of the mother and i can tell that she trusts me enough to let her kids be with me..........i just fear that the pups might get under a car or bike or something else might happen to them.........i want to ensure their survival till they are old enough to take care of themselves........plz suggest tips and advice so i can use them to save these pups........my family supports me in this but i don't want to keep them as pets..........i want to ensure their survival

Question #5: Multiple questions about a new Chihuahua puppy?
I'm getting a female teacup chihuahua in about a month, already paid and everything. And don't get me wrong, I've owned 10+ dogs in my life who have all been very well behaved for the most part... BUT, if this one goes to the bathroom in the house too much or anything, my mom is making me get rid of it. I know the basic things I should teach her, like housebreaking, sit, come when I call her, those things. But what else would be good, and how should I teach her? I want to take her to obediance classes, but until then what should I begin to do?
And, please help me with alot of tips on housebreaking a chihuahua. I read that they can be one of the most difficult to housebreak. I was thinking a small litter box, but I already have 3 cats, so they would just use it... So Puppy Pads?
And a few more... How could I get it to walk on a slack leash and not pull? Alot of my dogs have done this in the past, and for a lack of a better word I want to train this puppy to be "perfect". I know that sounds like high expectations, and I'm not asking for anything out of it's limits, I just want it to be a good dog with a happy life, and that I can show my mom I can be responsible and take care of it well...
And I read that when I'm gone during school, (I have a free period so I only have three 84 minute long classes and a 40 minute lunch, so it's not TOO long) I should get it a pen instead of a crate so that it isn't confined to such a small space and can move around and have access to water and a puppy pad or litter box or something to go to the bathroom? Is this a better solution then a crate, atleast while it's learning?
Last thing, I read alot of gross things about dog food recently, that they put euthanized animals and road kill in some of the kibbels if they don't explain exactly what kind of meat it is (beef, chicken, etc) and that they shouldn't have a ton of grain, which is what a primary ingredient is in alot of dog food. So basically I just want to take care of it as best I can, give it the healthiest food I can, I want it to live for as long as possible... What's a good dog food or anything I can give her that is safe, and I don't have to worry about what I'm feeding my dog? I guess I just don't want to feed her something that wouldn't be safe for me to eat... You know?

Question #6: I want to come out! How do I go about it?
Alright, so I am 14 and I just became 14 a week ago, but I thought I would be able to just spew it out on my birthday, but I didn't have the guts, but now I'm just tired of this fear and I'm not doing this another year of my life!
But my parents are Mexicans.
I think my Dad would be broken and just stop supporting me, but I'm more worried about how my mom would react. She is a little Mexican woman who YELLS!!!
So, I have an older sister who is in college and moving away before I know it, and I need her here when I do it.
However, I don't think they'll be too :O, because I watch RuPaul and listen to Cher all the time which is my way trying to warn them. However, whenever I'm watching RuPaul or something my mom always has something stupid to say even though she says that she's cool with gays.
I'm thinking of sending my Sister an email saying: "Hey, I'm gay. But I need a bitch's help with telling mom and dad."
You know: simple.
What do I do?
And now that the 9/11 anniversary is coming up my Mom is getting really emotional, because my parents worked their butts off to come to this country, and they were in the country at the time, so I'm scared that my mom could FLIP OUT with the news of her son being gay.
I don't really think my sister would have any sort of BIG reaction.
But I need to do it already, because I'm tired of the shame and secrecy and not being able to try and get a Boyfriend... because... I'm like a dog in heat lately and I want a boy (not for sex... yet).
And I know that once I've told my parents I'll be able to just say it to the outside world (like I care how other people react :P).
PLEASE. PLEASE. I really just need support and people to help me here with "Tips and Guidelines" on how to go about it.
