Question #1: Healthy Dog Food Help?
Hi, So I recently (almost 2 months) changed my dog's food from Bil-Jac to Evo reduced fat after hearing people say that Evo is healthier and better option for my dog. He's 4 yrs old, a schnauzer/poodle mix. Well he hates it. He will not eat the food by itself, and honestly I'm not a huge fan. I know its good, not bashing it at all, but it just isn't for him. I feel bad when he struggles to eat it alone, I have to always but in like the dog gravy or something. The pieces are also hard little things that I don't like. Does anyone have any suggestion on healthy food for my dog? I'll take any suggestions organic and such I live in Chicago so I should be able to find anything. Thank you so much!!
Question #2: Is there something wrong with my Pomeranian?
My pomeranian dog had puppies and now there is something wrong with her. She started having symptoms when we gave her puppies away. She is losing hair and getting very skinny. She is pooping blood. I still feeding her really healthy food. She doesnt act like there is something wrong though. She is still hyper and active. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
Question #3: My rats aren't eating their rat food?
I adopted a trio of rats, all around a year old. They were fed a seed mixture by their original owner. I wanted something healthier for them so I give them Oxbow's Regal Rat. However, they won't eat it! I give them lots of other stuff (fruits and veggies, uncooked pasta, rice, cereal and low protein dog food) so they aren't starving, but I want them to get used to the rat food because it's more nutritionally complete. Any suggestions?
A seed diet is NOT good food for rats. I'm not switching them to an inferior quality food because they like it better.

Question #4: My Siberian Husky refuses to eat?
Ok, so my husky used to love meal time he would clean out his bowl in less than 10 min and lick it clean. Recently, he started refusing his dry food, so we started mixing in small amounts of wet dog food, cheese, egg, yogurt ect . . . as an appetite teaser. It worked for a while but then he started refusing to eat anything at all for days at a time.
I took him to the vet, where he was checked for worms, infection, and an obstruction. He did not have any, but the vet had him complete a course of antibiotics just in case. (His teeth are also very healthy) He is still refusing to eat his food, but i know that he is hungry because he tries to steal the cats food all the time.
I thought he may not like his food, so I've been buying small bags of different food to try to get him to eat, but this is getting really expensive and I now have a lot of dog food and nothing to do with it. I've waited him out for about 3 days now giving him no treats and just putting the dish down twice a day for 25 min at a time but he won't eat (he's a very stubborn dog). He is still drinking water but I'm really concerned. Any advice would be very helpful.
He's been on Blue Buffalo, but I've tired Natural balance (which is also a very good food) but he just won't eat it.
He is 3 years old, and he has lost some weight, which is why we took him to the vet, after he was done with the antibiotics he started eating, but less than a week later he started refusing food again he sometimes eats part of his dinner, but never his breakfast, and it is not nearly enough food to sustain a 55 lb dog
oh and he is very alert, he's acting normal, still wants to go on his walks and to the dog park, still follows me everywhere, just won't eat his food

Question #5: need advice on next training steps?
just adopted the very nicest puppy. long story short, the owner couldn't take him to the new home.
he's about 5 months old...
he's a boston terrier , i've had him about a week now. he seems healthy and pretty active , very attentive.
after day 3 we had "sit"
by the end of day 5 we had "lay down"
and now we are working on "stay"
( i can count as far as 10...before he starts getting antsy)
i have him OK w/ the leash ( he still leads a bit...but he's doing ok )
as for being off the leash...
in our backyard:
i've gotten hm to walk the perimeter (along the fences) unleashed and by my side
he will take the opportunity to "mark"
he will come when i call him (w/out a treat now...)
and in the front yard..ive had him walk the perimeter of our lawn and drive (both leashed and unleashed) and he seems to be getting it...
we are working on "leave it" (we have rabbits in our yard, and he wants to chase them...LOL)
so ....ANY advice!?
tricks are cool, but i'm more concerned in making sure this puppy will stay out of harms way, out of traffic, and not bothering people and their dogs walking by when we're working in the yard or whatever we happen to be doing...
oh, and should i get him "fixed" i've gotten a few opinions from friends, am certainly willing to hear a few more before i decide whether or not to have my new best buddies "nads" chopped off...(as a man...i just can't imagine....but some say it solves some problems. )
oh, also...ANY advice on raw foods to "supplement" a dry food diet.
ive gotten some good advice from other dog owners here, and would like to hear from any and all...
ty in advance...
